I kintsugi (metal-joining) a broken vessel that I usually use. I was very attached to it and cherished it so much that I was reluctant to dispose of it, and I wanted to revive it and use it again.
Many people are requesting Kintsugi with this kind of feeling. I believe that this is the time for Japan’s “mottainai” culture to flourish.

Platinum kintsugi was done. Since the pottery has a white base, the customer preferred platinum, which is less noticeable than gold. Platinum does not oxidize and does not tarnish compared to silver, so it will always be silver color and safe. The combination of gold and platinum maki-e is also exceptional.

Baccarat glass

The glass of Baccarat broke and was repaired with a piecing joint. An arabesque pattern lacquer work was applied on gold on a black jet background.
